Mode of Selection
Mode of Selection contains three stages
1. Computer Based Test
The marks distribution subjectwise is mentioned below

It is an MCQ-based test conducted in English Medium and there will be no negative marking.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
Minimum Qualifying marks category-wise consisting all parts in the MCQ Type Test:
The marks needed by Unreserved, OBC-A, OBC-B is 40% ,
The marks needed by Scheduled Castes is 35%
The marks needed for Scheduled Tribes and for PWD candidates is 30%
• Minimum Qualifying marks in English & Bengali / Nepali Tests:
For all the notified posts, a candidate will have to score a minimum of 05 out of the allotted 20 marks (considering
Part - C & D together) to qualify.
2. Personal Interview
- The total marks in the Personal Interview will be 25 while there be no qualifying marks for the Interview. However, the marks secured in the Interview will be added with the marks in the Computer Based Test (Online Test) during the time of preparation of the Final Merit List.
3. Medical Examination
Selected candidates must also have to qualify in the Medical Examination as per prescribed rules of the Company.
The decision of WBSETCL pertaining to the Medical Test report will be final and binding on the candidate.
