The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) - a joint initiative of IITs and IISc has started the applications for the courses in January 2022 Semester.
NPTEl offered 593 courses across engineering, sciences, management, humanities, and social sciences through the SWAYAM portal.
Popular Courses: Data Science for Engineers, Electrical Vehicles, programming courses including Python, Java, C, and C++.
A few new courses included for January 2022 include Hindustani Music, Multidisciplinary Courses including Research Methodology for students in Research, Basic Course in Ornithology, Oral Biology for Dental students, Blockchain and its applications, and Online privacy.
How to enroll:
Step 1 – Go to URL – https://swayam.gov.in/
Step 2 – Click on the Sign in / Register tab
Step 3 – Login using any of the options mentioned there
Step 4 – After logging in you will be directed to the SWAYAM home page, click on the ‘All Course’ tab
Step 5 – On the left-hand side, you can see the ’filter option. Here, under that National Coordinator tab,
select NPTEL. On the right-side panel, the upcoming courses will be displayed.
Step 6 – Please select the course you want to join. Within the course page, some basic course
information such as course tenure, exam date, Prof name, institute name, etc. is given.
Step 7 – After going through the provided information, you may also choose to watch the INTRO
video. Next, click on the JOIN button. Next, fill in all relevant information.
Step 8 - IMPORTANT: Select profession as ‘employed’.
Step 9 – In ‘employment details’ select ‘yes’ in the dropdown if your employer is ‘Part of swayam
industrial association’. Here, please select the name of the company diligently
Step 10 – Please go through the details given at the bottom of the page & Click on the ‘I agree’ checkboxes.
Step 11 – Click on SUBMIT / JOIN button. You will see that a confirmation message is displayed on
the course page. A confirmation email will also be sent to your registered email address.
