National Bal Bhavan is an institution which aims at enhancing the creative potential of children by providing them various activities, opportunities and common platform to interact, experiment, create and perform according to their age, aptitude and ability. It offers a barrier-free environment with immense possibilities of innovation, minus any stress or strain.
It is located at Kotla Road, near I.T.O., New Delhi, it caters to children between the age group of 5 to 16 years. Bal Bhavan is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD).

It was founded in 1956 by Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. It was established with the purpose to provide opportunities for creative pursuits to children in the age group of 5 to 16 years.

VIRTUAL EXHIBITIONS
The National Bal Bhavan has adopted the online mode as children have been locked into their homes for over a year. This includes very regular online teaching by our Arts and Science departments, and the organization of virtual exhibitions.

It remains closed on Sundays, Mondays and Gazetted Holidays. The timings are from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. and the time for opening of Ticket Window is from 9:15 a. m to 4:30 p.m.)
