The majority of the interviewees said they used social networking websites for non-academic purposes for a long time. These habits can divert students’ attention away from their studies, negatively impact their educational outcomes, social connections, and sleep length, and result in unhealthy lifestyles and physical inactivity, making them prone to noncommunicable illnesses and mental health issues.
