Parth, your school should ideally help you with the correction process, but if they’re not cooperating, you’ll need to follow the Council’s official route. For correction in name/parent’s name/DOB, it cannot be done directly by students on the CISCE portal — it has to go through the school, with the required documents (birth certificate, affidavit, attested admission form, etc.) as per Council rules.

The CISCE online portal (https://cisce.org
→ Services → Login to CISCE Service Portal) is mainly for:

Document duplicate requests

Verification/enquiry requests

Recheck requests

👉 Corrections in certificates are not allowed through the individual login, unless your school initiates it. If the school refuses, the alternative is to obtain a declaratory court order and then submit it via the school to the Council (as per Section 6 of the ICSE Regulations).

So, in short:

Recheck = you can apply online yourself.

Correction of name/DOB = only through your school, or via a court order if the school won’t comply.

Jay both the marksheet and pass certificate,birth certificate, affidavit, newspaper cutting, a letter by me to school

Could you guide me on the format of the newspaper ad format? .
also would like to know when you have paid the correction fee . Whether correction fee need to be paid after submitting the docs to council and getting approval from them?

Jay news paper format is simple u just have to make announcement of change of name and in english it should be .

The fees has to be paid soon the request is aprroved and they have asked u to send documents to council

By the way which year are u in ? And which cls document do u wish to get corected

Passed out in 2023 and requesting for the name correction in board certificate.

actually school guided me to submit copy of marksheet and pass certificate along with birth certificate and affidavit.
And got an update from mam that school has forwarded the submitted docs to council and informed that newspaper ad might need to be submitted if council asks for it after checking the submitted docs.

In how many days we can expect council to reply back after submitting the docs ?

Jay orignal pass certificate and marksheet is generally required they will inform u in few days maximum in 3 months

Will my correction be taken i passed out in 2021
So it has been amost 4-5 years since issue of marksheet

How many years after you gave it for correction ?
Also school took how many ruppees?
A last wuestion is the corrected certfying stament of marks valid for jobs and gov exams ?
Does dogilocker version of pass certficate reflect new name after refreshing it please reply as i need to update it i am in huge anxiety due to this

Viggi CISCE allows corrections of name and father’s name only within three years of the result. Since you passed in 2021, your request is beyond this limit and will almost certainly be rejected if submitted normally through the school. The only way to get it considered now is via a court order or gazette notification. Once legally approved, the corrected certificate is fully valid for jobs, government exams, and the DigiLocker version will reflect the update after CISCE updates its records.
