The Atomic Minerals Directorate is responsible for Exploration and Research is to identify and evaluate uranium resources required for the successful implementation of the Atomic Energy program in the country. It has worked for the implementation of important tasks, Research work, and Exploration of minerals. The vacancies for different vacant positions in AMD are explained in detail.
Designation - Driver (Ordinary Grade)
Educational Qualification
i. The candidates are needed to be 10th Pass
ii. The candidate with a valid driving license to drive light and heavy vehicles
iii. The Candidate with Consolidated experience in driving light and heavy vehicle for at least 3 years
iv. Knowledge of motor mechanism and must be able to do the minor repair.
a) General day-to-day maintenance of the vehicle.
b) Tyre, Battery maintenance, and lubrication of vehicle.
c) Knowledge of Accelerator, Brake, Clutch, and fan belt adjustments.
d) Removal of Airlock and oil blockage.
e) Engine tune-up, wheel alignment, brake adjustment, and observation of dashboard meters.
Preference is given to candidates with:
- Possession of valid driving license to drive two-wheelers.
- Ability to read and fill up forms in English/Hindi.
Application Fees
The application fees for Driver will be Rs. 100/- and payment can be made online only.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, Woman category, and having a physical disability are exempted from paying fees.
Salary
The salary will be Rs. 19,900/- in the Level 2 of Pay Matrix
The employee will also get DA & other allowances as admissible for Central Government Employees.
Selection Procedure
The selection process consists of the following.
- Level-1 (Written Examination)
- Level-2 (Driving Test)
Level 1 the required marks for Unreserved Candidates /Economically weaker Sections will be
50% aggregate and 40% aggregate marks for OBC/SC/ST candidates.
The Objective type questions from the following subjects
a. General English & Hindi
b. General Awareness
c. General Intelligence
d. Elementary Mathematics
e. Driving techniques and motor car mechanism
There are total of 100 questions of 100 marks and there is no negative marking with the duration of 2 hours.
The candidates qualifying Level-1 examination will be called for the driving test.
