Can anybody clear my doubt that is english mandatory for a job?

We can’t say English is compulsory for a job but nowadays it is desirable to have fluent communication in English but not mandatory. It depends upon the company or industry you work in and also depends upon your job profile. English language is so much involved in our lifestyle that sometimes a thought came in mind that whether our official language is english or hindi. According to my point of view english is not mandatory for a job but it could be desirable in some workplace.
