While preparing for a government exam most people recommend reading newspapers daily especially the editorial section of the newspaper. I have also been recommended to read news articles. The logic behind reading this is that it improves one’s reading ability, increases our vocabulary and our understanding also. As some candidates have studied only in the Hindi language so, for them it is highly recommended.
Your question is what kind of news article should a Government Job aspirant should read so, the answer to your question is there is not a kind that this type of article should be read by a UPSC aspirant and this should be by SSC aspirant. Reading news articles is necessary as it helps us at the time of the exam while solving English sections especially comprehension based questions and also improves our grammar and English understanding a lot. So read editorials of any kind which you find interesting or which you love the most
