Banking exams or any other exams that are conducted in multiple shifts normalisation is applied in these exams. The reason behind that it is impossible to set all the exam paper with same level of difficulties.

But if we see the banking exams it does not impact so much like other exams ssc, railways etc. I think it is due to balanced paper pattern and difficulty level of each section.

Another reason is that banking exams are conducted in minimum shifts than other national level exams like ssc, railways. Here I am mentioning some important banking exams:-

  1. Bank Clerks
  2. Bank Probationary Officer (Bank PO)
  3. Specialist Officers (SO) & so on.

AshishSrivastava No this is no the idea behind it. It’s also not necessary that u ll ail in the exam. It is just to normalise the score for a hard shifts and an easy shift of an examination. So that nobody faces injustice.

AshishSrivastava Yes you can fail..if there was an easy shift for you and very hard for others. This is just a possibility. Not an assertion. Don’t worry.

IBPS calculates the marks of the candidates through a method called normalisation which helps to get a rounded-up figure. Since the exam is conducted over days and has multiple shifts and the question paper varies from one shift to another, normalisation helps to balance the score and assist in fair evaluation.

normalisation me un logo ko fayda hota h jo logo k exam me number of wrong question kam hote h .
