No, it isn’t. A person with a background in trade, the arts, or medicine can take the NDA exam. The National Defense Academy, or NDA, is held twice a year by the UPSC. This Exam is only open to those who have completed 10+2 or are currently enrolled in final exams.
The minimum educational qualification is a 10+2 with a minimum of 50%; however, a guy who is taking the final exam can also take this exam. You must, however, be between the ages of 16 and 19.
Another factor to consider is that if you want to go to the Air Force or Naval Academy, you must have physics and maths as a compulsory subject in your 10+2 level. However, to join the army, you can have anything.
