Essential Qualifications
The Essential Qualifications of the candidates are as under
The applicant must have a Ph.D. degree (or submitted Ph.D. thesis) from a reputed University/Institute in Physics/ Material Science/Engineering Physics and Ph.D. thesis work should be in the Experimental condensed matter area or First principle calculations of surfaces/ bulk/ nanomaterials.
The candidate should have first class in the qualifying degree for Ph.D. (i.e. in BSc/MSc).
Desirable Qualification
The candidate should preferably have experience in some of the following areas
- Hands-on experience with accelerators and experience with some of the techniques like Ion implantation, RBS,
Channeling, ion beam analysis.
Knowledge of handling UHV equipment is preferable
Sensors, Nanomaterials, Nano-Bio interactions, Graphene, 2D layers, oxides, and experience with some techniques like Raman, AFM, XPS, TEM, FESEM, Electrochemistry.
Period of Appointment
The initial appointment of the candidate will be for 1 year, extendable for 1 more year depending on the performance of the candidate.

Selection Procedure
Shortlisted candidates, based on the above criteria, will be intimated by email and called for a presentation interview at the Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, or on online platforms.
No TA/DA will be provided for coming for the presentation and interview.
