SSC Extra Attempt/Age Relaxation

The government finally gives EXTRA ATTEMPTS and AGE RELAXATION. The recruitment cycle of the SSC was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, therefore for the examinations being advertised in the year 2022, SSC has decided to fix the crucial date for determining age as 01.01.2022. In the ordinary course, the crucial date for determining the age for these examinations would have been 01.08.2022 or 01.01.2023, depending on the schedule of Tier-II Examinations.

No Extra Attempt and Age Relaxation granted to UPSC Aspirants

The issue of granting age relaxation and extra attempt to candidates for Civil Services Examination (CSE), due to COVID-19 pandemic was brought before Hon’ble Supreme Court of India vide Writ Petitions by CSE aspirants. Based on the judgments passed by Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the matter was considered and it has not been found feasible to change the existing provisions regarding number of attempts and age limit in respect of the Civil Services Examination.

I totally agree with you gentleman !!! Equality should be given on equity basis.

Extra Attempt milna chahye kuki is pandemic ki wajah se bht sare exams postponed or delay hue h jinki wajah se jo ekdum peak age pr the ki yeh unka last attempt hoga exam clear krne ka woh unhe mila hi nhi kuki exam postpone ya phr cancel ho gya. So i think giving extra attempt would give a golden chance to the aspirants.

There is no problem in asking for extra attempt, but the approach should be integrated and peaceful which cannot be seen currently. Students are having scattered protest all over India which won’t be successful enough.

What about UPSC Aspirants? Preparation period and syllabus of UPSC CSE is most difficult and challenging. If you are preparing for UPSC CSE then you can’t prepare for any other exams parallel. Giving Extra attempts to SSC aspirants is good but same should be brought to UPSC Aspirants.
