On Monday, October 3, the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) arrested a Russian national Mikhail Shargin, who is supposedly the mastermind for alleged manipulation of JEE Mains examination which to be held on 26, 27,31 August and 1,2 September 2021. A LOC (look out circular) issued against the suspect and was arrested at Delhi airport upon arrival from Khazakhastan.
In September 2021, CBI had booked Affinity Education Pvt Ltd and its three directors for manipulating the online examination of JEE (Mains) and facilitating the aspiring students to get admission into top NITs (National Institute of Technology).
