On August 31, 2022, The School Education Department of Jammu and Kashmir released a notification announcing the implementation of Uniform Academic Calender.
As per the official notification, the new academic session will starts from April-May and the Annual examination will be held in the month of March, same as the other states.

Appraising the step taken by School Education Department, The Chief of Teachers Forum Dinesh Khajuriya said, “ The present state administration did justice to the students of Kashmir by making a uniform calendar of education. The politics of the former governments played with the future of the children.”
This can be proven a revolutionary steps for the students of Jammu and Kashmir. This will lead the students of UT J&K to compete with the students of other states at the same level.
