Syllabus for the posts of Safaiwalas, Chowkidar and Labour
The Examination will consist of Objective Type. Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set in English and Hindi. The paper will be divided into four parts/units. Each part will have 30 questions. The time duration for the exam will be 90 minutes.

Note: There will be negative marking for each wrong answer. For every wrong answer, 1/3rd of marks assigned to that question will be deducted. If a candidate marks more than one answer in the OMR sheet, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the marked options happens to be the right answer. If a question is left without any marking, there will not be any negative marks.

Unit III. General Awareness
The broad coverage of the test will be on Social Studies (History, Geography, Art and Culture, Civics, Economics), General Science, and Environmental studies up to the 10th Standard.
Unit IV. English Language
The questions will be of Matriculation standard. Candidates understand the basics of the English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, and its correct usage, etc.

The Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set in English and Hindi. The pattern of the question paper will be as per the table given below. The time duration for the exam will be 90 minutes.

Candidates must need to qualify for the Unit V trade-related questions with at least 30% marks in that section. If any candidate fails to secure at least 30% marks in Trade related questions, he/she will not be considered for the final selection.

Weeding, hoeing, condition, thinning, etc.
Different types and ways of grading, packaging, and transportation of planting materials.
Nursery waste material/disposal through composting.
Different tools and equipment used in gardening work
Types of soils- Composition, Reaction, Soil Amendment, Pot Mixture, Repotting. Plant food,
Principles of landscape design for house Gardens, Public parks, preparation of complete landscape. a. Growing plants under Greenhouse conditions b. Flower and foliage arrangements c. Preparation of estimated. Record keeping and other trade-related questions
Unit V. Trade-related Questions (Only for Pump Operator)
- Fundamentals of Electricity- Voltage, Current, resistance, Energy, Energy, Power, conductors, insulators, semiconductors, current and resistance, use of a voltmeter, electric series, the need of a fuse in the circuit, construction of fuse, etc.
- Electrostatics and Electromagnetism- laws. Electric Flux, Potential Difference, Potential, Permittivity, Permeability, Capacitors, Coulumb’s Law, Faraday’s Law, Magnetic Flux, Self-inductance, Fleming’s law, etc.
- Fundamentals of AC systems- Generation, Equation of Voltage, amplitude, frequency, cycle, time period, Inductance, and Capacitance. Star and Delta connections.
- Direct Current Machines- DC generator
- Alternate Current- Transformers- its construction, types, principle. emf equation, transformation ratio, efficiency, and losses. Three-phase induction motor- principle, types, construction, slip. losses. torque, three-phase motor starters.
- Alternators, Three-phase synchronous motor, single-phase, and FHP single-phase induction motor, AC series motor, Servomotor, Universal Motor, Split-phase, and Stepper motors
- Principle of centrifugal pump, priming of pump sets, air cleaners, etc.
- Occupational health and safety, personal safety, handling of fuel spillage, and other trade related questions.
