What is Neet UG
[
- NEET-UG Stands for The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate).
Earlier this exam was known as the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT),
It is an all India pre-medical entrance test for students who want to pursue undergraduate various medical fields like (MBBS), dental (BDS) and equivalent AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS), etc courses in government, private or deemed institutions in India and also, for those intending to pursue primary medical qualification abroad.
- The exam is conducted by NTA(National Testing Agency ) which was established in 2017.
- After the enactment of the NMC Act 2019 in September 2019, NEET-UG became a common all India entrance test for admissions to the medical colleges in India including AIIMS & JIPMER.

How to Apply
Important note - This application form can only be filled online, there is no procedure for offline

Candidates need to register at the official website neet.nta.nic.in login.
After login, candidates will be asked to fill personal, identification, and communication details at the registration page.
Filing of application form: After registration, candidates will be directed to the NTA NEET 2021 application form which requires information such as caste category, nationality, state code, choice of exam cities, choice of language for question paper, academic qualifications, and details of the parents.
Image upload: upload scanned image. The images must be uploaded as per the specifications by the authority to avoid rejection of the NEET-UG application form.
Application fee: NEET 2021 application form fee is to be paid in an online mode via Debit/Credit Card/Net-banking/UPI/Paytm Wallet or service provider. After successful payment, a confirmation page will be generated. Candidates who fail to pay the application fee before or on the last date, their application form stands incomplete and thus rejected. The NEET application fee 2021 for each category can be checked from the table below.
Print application form: After completing the process, candidates must take the printout of the submitted NEET UG application form.

Immportnat Note - The Test pattern of NEET (UG)-2021 comprises of two Sections. Each subject will consist of two
sections. Section A will consist of 35 Questions and Section B will have 15 questions, out of
these 15 Questions, candidates can choose to attempt any 10 Questions. So, the total number
of questions and utilization of time will remain the same.

Candidates opting for English would be provided a Test Booklet in English only.
Candidates opting for Hindi would be provided with a Bilingual Test Booklet in English and Hindi.
Candidates opting for regional languages would also be provided with a Bilingual Test Booklet in selected Regional language and English.
In case of any ambiguity in translation of a question in the test, its English version shall be treated as final and the decision of NTA shall be final in this regard.

- He/she has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete thatage on or before 31st December 2021 of the year of his/her admission to the first year Undergraduate Medical Course.
- It means all candidates who are born on or before - 31/12/2004 will be eligible to appear in exam
Qualification required
To be eligible for NEET Candidates who have appeared or are appearing at the qualifying Examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as the main subject and expect to pass the Examination with the required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply and appear in the Competitive Entrance Examination.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 level with Biology as an additional subject will also be eligible for MBBS Entrance Examination
The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Biotechnology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and also English as a compulsory subject.

Open school Candidates
Candidates who have passed 10+2 from Open School or as private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for the ‘National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test’. Furthermore, the study of Biology/Biotechnology as an Additional Subject at 10+2 level also shall not be permissible.

Reservation
NEET UG 2021 follows the reservation policy, which caters a number of seats to various categories. All admissions to MBBS/BDS courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the NEET (UG).
NTA will provide All India Rank. Admitting Authorities will invite applications for counselling and merit list shall be drawn based on All India Rank by the Admitting Authorities. Admission to MBBS/BDS Courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on All India Rank as per merit list of NEET (UG) - 2021.
All India quota, Reservation
Because this test takes place at the national level and everyone wants their admission to be done in their own state. In case a candidate does not get admission in his/her home state then they seek admission in another state. In order to facilitate candidates to study in other states, a separate quota has been made; it is called All India Quota.
Eligibility for 15% All India Quota seats for govt colleges
Indian Nationals, Non**-**Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and Foreign Nationals are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats.
Reservation policy of the Government of India is applicable to NEET (UG) Examination. According to this, only in the Central Universities and Institutions.

Students from UT of J&K and Ladakh
Students from UT of J&K and Ladakh are not eligible for 15% All India Quota seats as UT of J&K and Ladakh have opted out of the All India Scheme since its inception.
If they claim eligibility, they must submit an online Self Declaration which will be generated and printed automatically along with a confirmation page for the record and they need to present the same during counseling.
With regard to the participation of UT of J&K and Ladakh in the All India Quota, it is informed that the erstwhile State of J&K had opted to stay out of the All India Quota Scheme since inception and as such the students of J&K were also not allowed to participate for admission in all India Quota seats. Now, with the coming into effect of the J&K Reorganization Act, 2019, and the formation of UTs, the UT of J&K has been requested to consider for participation in the All India Quota. A decision is yet to be taken by the UT administration in this regard. However, the UT of Ladakh does not have any medical college. Therefore, the decision of participation of UT of J&K will be conveyed in due course.
However, from the academic year 2021-22, the students of UT of Ladakh shall be eligible for admission to 15% of All India Quota seats.
