  • NEET-MDS stands for national eligibility-cum-entrance Test (Master of Dental Surgery )
  • this exam enables candidates to take admission in postgraduate courses for dentaL.
  • It prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MDS Courses in the country.
  • The exam is conducted by NBE (national board for examination).
  • No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, shall be valid for entry to MDS courses. Qualifying NEET-MDS is mandatory for entry to MDS courses under various Universities/ Institutions in the country.

The following Dental institution is not covered for admission to MDS courses through NEET-MDS for the 2021 admission session:

  1. AIIMS, New Delhi No state government/private dental college/Universities shall be conducting any separate entrance for admission to their MDS Courses for the admission session 2021

How to Apply

You can submit your application form for the NEET-MDS exam from the NBE website https://nbe.edu.in from 26th October – 15th November 2020 The following sequence shall be observed while filling the online application form for exams:

  • Fill the Registration Form for Obtaining User ID and Password

  • User ID and Password will be then, sent through SMS and Email.

  • Fill the Application Form and Upload your photograph, signature, and thumb impression

  • Choose your test city Make a payment of fees

  • Take a printout of the filled application form with transaction ID printed on it.

Upon creating a profile, you will receive a User ID and Password on your registered email ID and mobile number. Using these credentials, you can login as a registered applicant to fill the application form. The application may be saved at the respective stage and can be re-visited to complete later.

Validity OF NEET-MDS 2021 Result -

The validity of the result of NEET-MDS 2021 shall be only for the current admission session i.e. 2021 admission session.

Eligibility criteria to appear in exam.

  • A candidate for admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, must possess a recognised degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India and registered with the State Dental Council and has obtained provisional or permanent registration and has undergone compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/recognised dental college.

  • The internship is a must for this exam

  • A candidate will be eligible if he/she has completed the compulsory rotatory internship and obtained provisional or permanent registration on or before 31st March 2021.

Reservation

  • For information regarding reservations in institutions for which counseling shall be conducted by DGHS, please visit Medical Counseling Committee website www.mcc.nic.in There shall be a reservation of 15% for the candidates of the Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5% for the candidates of the Scheduled Tribes (ST) and 27% for the candidates of the Other Backward Classes (OBC) as per statutory provisions and applicable rules. The OBC reservation at 27% is only in Central Government Institutions/Central Universities only for Non-cream layer and as per Central list of OBC.

  • For States/Union Territories - 50% State Quota Seats and Private Dental Colleges/Institutes/Universities/Deemed Universities

-Reservation policy and guidelines applicable in different States/Union Territories of India will be followed for the respective State /Union territory quota seats.

-NBE shall be providing only the data of candidates and the marks scored by them in NEET-MDS to the State Governments / Counseling Authority without applying the reservation prevalent in the concerned States/Private Dental Colleges/ Institutes/ Universities. The merit list and category wise merit list for the concerned State shall be generated by the State themselves as per applicable Regulations, qualifying criteria, applicable guidelines and reservation policies.

For Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions

  • Candidates opting for admission to MDS seats in Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) Institutions shall select the following option in the NEET-MDS 2020 online application form: Are you willing to opt for PG Courses in Armed Forces Medical Services -Yes/ No?

  • There is no reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates in the Armed Forces Medical Institutions.

  • Note: A candidate who has failed to secure the minimum percentile as prescribed in these regulations, shall not be admitted to any postgraduate courses in any academic year.

  • Minimum 5 % seats of the annual sanctioned intake capacity shall be filled up by the candidates with Bench Mark Disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

    NEET MDS 2022:NBE to open the correction window on January 28

    On January 28, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) will start a rectification window for the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery, NEET MDS 2022, at nbe.edu.in. Only registered aspirants will have access to the NEET MDS 2022 edit window until January 31. From February 12 to 15, 2022, NBE will open the last edit window for NEET MDS for the correction of inaccurate images.
    Aspirants can edit or delete submitted details in the NEET MDS 2022 application form using the NEET MDS 2022 application form correction window. Registration for NEET MDS 2022 took place from January 4 to January 24. Learn how to use the correction window to change details on the NEET MDS 2022 registration form.

    Steps to avail correction window facility

    1. Click on the “NEET MDS” option on the official website, nbe.ed.u.in.
    2. When you get to the NEET MDS 2022 website, choose “Applicant Login” and fill out the required information.
    3. In the top right corner, click the “Go To Application Form” option.
    4. Personal, academic, internship, registration, and other details can be edited.
    5. To save your changes and submit the form, click the “Submit” button.
    6. Logout after closing the NEET MDS 2021 modification window.

    NEET MDS 2022 Exam Postponed, Internship Completion Date Extended, Notice Here

    The National Medical Sciences Board of Examiners, NBEMS, has postponed the NEET MDS 2022 exam. The exam, which was scheduled to take place on March 6, 2022, has been rescheduled. In accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the deadline for completing the internship was also extended.

    According to the notice, MoHFW, Govt. India has decided to extend the internship deadline for eligibility for the NEET MDS 2022 program to 31 July 2022.

    In addition, the online application window for NEET-MDS 2022, which was closed on January 24, 2022, should now be reopened at the appropriate time to allow desired applicants to apply for NEET-MDS 2022 subject to the revised reduction. - end date of the internship. The revised schedule for NEET MDS 2022 and the opening of the online application window will be announced on the official website shortly.

    The examination may be delayed for four to six weeks. The decision was made by the Ministry to bring the NEET-MDS 2022 and NEET-PG 2022 exams into line. The exam will take place around the same day as the NEET PG 2022 exam.
