School Innovation Ambassador program has been conceptualised by Ministry of Education Innovation Cell and All India Council for Technical Education to train the school teachers across country who will nurture the young school students on Ideation, IPR, product development, design thinking, problem solving and critical thinking.

Aim

  • SIATP aims to train 50,000 school teachers on innovation, entrepreneurship, IPR (Intellectual property Rights), design thinking, product development, idea generation etc.
  • It also aims to make our teachers, change-agents and ambassadors of innovation to make our students future-ready.

Benefits

  • ‘SIATP’ will give wings to the creativity of the children and provide a platform so that they can give something new to the world with their ideas.
  • The students of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) will greatly benefit from SIATP.
  • Through this unique capacity building programme for teachers, prominence has been given to development of creativity, collaboration , critical thinking and communication skills among children.

Role of Trained innovation Ambassadors

The trained ‘Innovation Ambassadors’ will perform the following tasks at school level:

  • Creating the culture of innovation in their respective schools.
  • Mentor the teachers and students of their respective and nearby schools.
  • Provide support to other schools as a resource person.
  • Spread the message of innovation and start-ups among the students and faculty.
  • Act as an evaluator for Idea competitions conducted at the national level.
  • Act as a Mentor for the national level program on Innovation and related activities.

Sarvesh
The students of Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) will greatly benefit from SIATP since it is also the endeavour of the Tribal Affairs Ministry to give the best possible education to the tribal children. EMRS for tribal children is another ambitious programme under which 740 EMRS will be established in tribal dominated areas over the next three years.

provide quality education to ST children in rural regions so that they may participate in high-level and professional educational programmes and find work in a variety of fields.
