Kartik_jha yes, it is acceptable easily. The corrected certificate will always say ‘certifying statement of examination results.’ I too needed to make the correction to join Government service.

AmlanNaskar hey amlan can u please check your certyfying statement of examination result is there anything written on the back of the certificate like it issued in lieu of the original certificate or anything as such
…as that will help the job veryfing person to understand why we have this .. actually I m also concerned about it . Can you also please confirm can this be used as a matriculation certificate for upsc ? / State pcs

I talked to helpdesk of icse they told this is issued as a replacement of pass certificate and can be considered as ur matriculation certificate

My kmgov job organisation wants a 10th certificate and since it dosent mention certificate on it .. I m in trouble

Pragati_singh it is the matriculation certificate itself. Don’t worry about the term being used. At the back, the issue date and the authorised signatory stamp and signature can be found.

Pragati_singh The earlier statement was a general rule for state boards and CBSE, but in the case of ICSE, since duplicate certificates are not issued, the Certifying Statement of Examination Result is accepted as valid.

As clearly mentioned in the ICSE Board FAQ (Question 03 under Related to ICSE – Class X on the CISCE official website), a duplicate certificate will not be issued if the original is lost or misplaced; only a Certifying Statement of Examination Result can be obtained. Hence, it is evident that this document is readily accepted.

I am telling you what i have done to update my brother 10 marksheet . My brother is in class 12 now isc same board same school. His class 12 registration has his same name as per 10 marksheet . So u talked to school which are the documents required . My brother 10 marksheet mention his name for example saurav Kumar so u want o change it as Saurav aggarwal . So the documents required are birth certificate in English , any nationalise newspaper and affidavit with notary ,amended school admission form which school provides and original 10 marksheet and passing certificate . But there is another issue is that in my brother birth certicate his name mentions as saurav so it created his 2 names so school told me to make gazette with wording saurav alias Saurav Kumar change name to Saurav Aggarwal . So I publish this gazette it takes 5 months for me to publish this gazette . School sir told me birth certificate cannot get updated after issued and it not practically possible for me to update my brother birth certificate . My school is very supporting the applied my brother application with birth certificate in English , school amended admission form ,affidavit by notary and gazette with original 10 marksheet and passing certificate . The fees is 1500 hundred rupees which I paid online by QR code . I will get to know the approval by board within 1 month and if school got the approval they will post the original documents to the board and board will issue new certificate it will automatically update in 12 registration as the unique I’d is same . If the board rejects the update they will hand over my brother old 10 marksheet and passing certificate .

Till now i have not got any update regarding my brother marksheet and i have submitted my brothers original documents to school it will take another 10 to 15 days to get to know whether it is approved for correction in marksheet. Have you updated your name in any certificates

Vanshaj I did but I haven’t recieved it yet ..it should reach I m just curious and desperate to know whther pass certificate will be given or not because as per thier recent circular they mention amended certificates and amended means corrected orignals …but I don’t know why many people in grp claim to recive duplicate and no pass certificate

Have you got any approval for correction in marksheet and did your school has posted your original documents to board
