NCERT textbook plays a major role in competitive exams especially organised after 12th class like JEE, NEET etc.
This is because most competitive exams, including as NEET and JEE, use NCERT books to compose their questions. Furthermore, most competitive tests are based on the CBSE syllabus, which is used in secondary and upper secondary schools.
Furthermore, NCERT books play an important role in clarifying theoretical concepts.
Each topic in NCERT books is described in such a way that students can strengthen their fundamentals and basics. As a result, students are advised to thoroughly read the NCERT books while preparing for any engineering or medical entrance exam.
Majority of questions come from the concepts present in NCERT.
That’s why it is advised to prepare from NCERT textbooks while giving competitive exams.

    To achieve that milestone, it is important to have access to the latest updated syllabus and best study material for your preparation.

    It is just as crucial to know the right study material. Many UPSC/SSC aspirants have no idea about books or study material they should start their preparations with. So, to excel in the toughest examination in the country, you must stay updated on the books and other study material.

    I am sharing here my personal experience and it might be helpful to you in a different way.

    UPSC aspirants should read NCERT books from classes 6 to 12. If you do not have much time, read books from classes 9 to 12. This way, you can strengthen your base.
