Application released for Admission in Undergraduate in Delhi University, Total of 70,000 seats offered by Delhi University for the academic year 2022-23 said, Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh. This year, Delhi University will conduct admissions to 79 UG programmes across 67 colleges/departments/centres, which includes 206 combinations for the BA programme

Over 6 Lakh applicants compete for the 70,000 seats, Candidates can apply through the CSAS portal. On Monday CSAS portal was launched by Delhi University .

CSAS-2022 will be conducted in 3 Phases

Phase 1 - Application Process
Phase 2 - Choice filling
Phase 3 - Seat allotment-cum-admission

The Vice-Chancellor said that the trials for ECA and sports quota students are likely to be held after October 10 and classes for the students will most likely start from November 1.

    The Delhi High Court ruled 100% weightage on CUET Score for admission in St Stephen’s College

    On Monday, Delhi high court ruled that for admission of non-minority students for UG courses will be completely based on their CUET score at St Stephen’s College, the Interview process should not be conducted for non-Christians, and 100% weightage should be given to the CUET examination, the college should withdraw its prospectus and issue a fresh one with the amended provisions asked by the bench of chief justice Satish Chandra Sharma and justice Subramonium Prasad.

      To promote higher education, 20 colleges used to give special exemptions to the girl students in the cut-off of admission, but this system has been abolished due to admission from CUET instead of cut-off from this session.

      The reason behind the abolishment cutoff -

      • The system ends due to admission by CUET score instead of cutoff
      • The number of girl students is more in proportion to the number of boys
      • There are many separate colleges for girl students
      • There is already a balance between the number of students

      Phase 2 of undergraduate admissions for the academic session 2022-23 at Delhi university will kick off today i.ee 26th Sep 2022.
      While phase one of the CSAS started on September 12, the registrations under both phases will go on till October 10, the university has announced.

      We are able to choose preferred colleges and programs online, using the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal.

      But the question is, are they going to give the cut-off list first?

        The CSAS portal will automatically draw students’ scores in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) and assign colleges and programs on the basis of the candidate’s normalized scores and preferences.

            Two-day Window

            Today I read newspaper where there is a news regarding two day window where DU Registrar Vikas Gupta said a two day window will be provided to the candidates to reorder their programme and College preferences.

            So according to the news we will get the chance to change the preference but I think it will be best if you select best for you Initially. As there will be a lot’s of students who were using the site that time, What if there will be server issue?

              The University of Delhi extended the last date of registration by two days through an official announcement. “In the larger interest of the candidates who are still in the process of deciding thier preferences, the University has extended the last date of Phase I and Phase II by two days, Phase and Phase II of CSAS will now be open for candidates till 12 october 5 PM.” As per the official press statement.

              Students can make corrections in thier application for phase I and II till 5 pm of 12 october 2022 (Wednesday).
